John is a Pittsburgh native and a graduate of Clarion University. He began his career in financial services as an independent representative for a prominent national life insurance company, where he learned the often-overlooked value of risk management in a well-balanced financial plan. With the desire to broaden his range of financial planning services, John moved to a role within a large, regional bank, where he was promoted to the role of Financial Advisor and earned the designation of Vice President. Over the years, John distinguished himself as an advisor who delivered truly customized plans, tailored to each client's specific needs, never settling for a "one-size-fits-all" approach to investing. In 2022, John and his partner Michael founded Maloy Sporar Financial Group with the goal of elevating the experience and satisfaction of their most important assets... their clients.
John resides in Murrysville with his wife, Rebecca, sons, Lane and Evan, and bulldog - Beau. In his free time, John enjoys playing golf, taking lake trips with his family, and watching Steelers football.
